Build a standard set. To ensure a high standard of quality in the creation of your product videos, you should set up a small mini-set. For small products, it is enough to buy a photo box with integrated light. For large products, it's worth purchasing a softbox and permanently setting up a corner in your office for video creation. For product videos, you usually want a snow-white background so that the product is in the foreground. Be careful with white products: Here, choosing a different background color is necessary. Replaceable backgrounds made of fabric can be a remedy.

Use a standardized video structure. Product videos live from beautiful and impressive impression shots. The added value compared to photos is mainly that details are better perceived and the product can be viewed from different perspectives, which provides a more transparent image. Therefore, it is a good idea to create product videos, which consist of four short scenes. The first shot shows the complete product and the last three shots show individual features or highlights in detail. Make sure that you never stop your shot in motion. If you follow this basic rule, almost nothing can go wrong when creating your first product video.

Make sure you use the right video format. Product videos are mostly viewed on mobile, but often still on desktop. That's why it's important that you use the right video format. For online stores, for example, it is usually best to create a square product video, as the content is viewed on mobile, but also on desktop.
